Everytime I go outside, people always stare at me, and sometimes they compliment me... and does weird things, but they wouldn't approach me... I see a lot of nerdy/geeky girls with so many cute boys now, holding hands with each other, etc... And then there's the backstabber girls that I know and they always think about themselves... I'm 18 and I live in NYC, people outside said I'm pretty/beautiful/sexy... and I always say thank you and respond politely... So why is it that I can't get a boyfriend? Am I not good enough as the nerds/geeky girls? How can you all know that when none of you try to get to know me at all? You just stare at me from a far, and smile... but never be normal to approach me like you did with the other girls. I don't even know what to say anymore.
I don't have a pic but people tell me I look like the girl on the left and I dress like that too, my hair is also like that but darker.

You sound way too full of yourself. If you want a nerd, just go and ask him out. Remember nerds have little personality. You need to go up to people and talk to them to let them no you are interested. IT IS A TWO WAY STREET, you are just as resposible as the guy for first encounters.

sometimes guy are intimidated by beauty.i know a lot of women who didn't start dating till they were in college.only because the guys thought as pretty as you are you certainly must have a man.instead of asking first.please don't feel down about it.they will catch up soon I'm thinking.just be yourself.

well if your half as good looking as the girl in the pic, then you dont have to worry about anything on the looks side of things.
but... you really need to put yourself out there. maybe you should start talking to more boys and hanging around with them.
maybe your shy, which is a nice thing, but if a guy talks to you then dont be afraid to open up a bit, becuase he will wanna get to know you more.
dont be so denfensive around boys.

it sounds like your trying too hard, i was the 'nerdy' girl at school and i never had attention from boys... but im now marrried with 3 kids and very happy..... i think you probably intimidate some people, why dont you try talking to boys instead of waiting for them t come to you, there is no rule to say a boy has to approach you... you dont have to make a huge effort in the way you dress or have your hair, i think you might be a bit paranoid as well if you think everyone is staring at you...... i think you get a buzz out of knowing men are staring at you, but most men/boys will look but wont touch, especially if you look high maintenance.... what im saying is try different approaches... speak to boys yourself, dont wait for them
